There are some situations in clothes washing that can be solved. Others
are more difficult. Generally, there are
some ones quite common that may have possible solutions. Here, we explain a few
of them that may occur. The following statement explains what you can do about
this…
Incomplete washing: It happens when a wrong wash cycle has been chosen,
(too short or inappropriate temperature) or also, when the use of not adequate products
(bleaching action failed). Solution: Repeat washing choosing another cycle and
other detergents.
Changes in original color: It can happen when we wash
colored clothing with a liquid detergent with bleach. Solution: If we are
dealing with dark clothing, we could solve this situation by putting this in a
bowl with water and a splash of vinegar. This same solution may be used in cases
where a stain remover product has been utilized and still the spot remain.
Loss of color: This may occur due to use of poor quality dyes.
Solution: Sometimes solution is similar as described in the previous point
(leaving the garment in a few hours soaking in cold water and vinegar) and
subsequent use cold water for washing dark clothes. Clothing should never been expose
to sunlight. The sun removes the color of the garments.
White strips: It may be due to the use of powder detergent. It is always
best to use a liquid mild detergent. Also avoiding fill up to the limit the washing
machine.
Faded Color: Original colors fading and mixing. This may bring in
an undesirable color. For this you can see this post the four ways to fix
faded.
Brown strips: can be due to the presence of iron in the water. In
this case the solution is to wash the laundry by putting white vinegar in the
soap or detergent.
