How to wash woollen Clothes
To maintain a woollen garment in perfect condition, it is advisable to follow the following advice when washing: prepare a bowl with warm water and a couple tablespoons of vinegar, this applies for bright colours, for pale colours, add lemon juice to the wash water.
Immerse woollen garments in cold water in which some baking soda has been dissolved, do not let them soak for long. Rinse and dry flat in shade, without spinning. Baking soda is used because it acts as antacid and since most stains are acidic, it neutralizes them and makes them easier to remove.
How to keep wool white?
To wash white wool, mix water with a cup of hydrogen peroxide. Introduce the garment into this solution and leave for half an hour. If the white garment has turned yellowish, add a few drops of bleach to the wash water to regain its tone.
