I will refer to industrial washing machines because I do not know the market for household washing machines. In recent years, the main changes are: saving energy and water, and intelligent programs. In a laundry, energy and water consumption is very high, which is why manufacturers strive to offer washing machines able to consume less water and energy.There are even washing machines incorporating a reservoir to store water that can do various treatments without renewing.
How do these washers function?
The washing machine heats the water using electric resistors with steam from a generator or with hot water which enters through an electric or gas heater. There are industrial washers of high centrifugo or low centrifugo. The industrial washers don't do the function of drying, you need a different machine: a dryer, which can be electric or gas.
Types of washers
The simpler washing machines have fixed washing programs, not modifiable or very little modifiable. The most complete washing machines incorporate a microprocessor which allows the user to set all parameters in the wash: The drum rotation speed, rotation time and the pause, the water level, temperature etc.. etc. With these programmablewashing machines can wash delicates, wool blankets. gowns, and even clothing that is labeled as "Dry"
