In table linen we can find many types of stains...

Most basic and cheap tips to clean table linen

In general we find four types of basic stains (dirtiness) and their correspondent treatment:

Pigments: detergent.
Proteins: slightly basic solution, enzymes.
Fat: dissolvent, soap emulsion.
Tannins: reaction with slightly acid solution

In table linen we can find many types of stains. I suggest to have some products on hand in order to act as soon as possible on the stains. I would suggest for those who can:
1) For oily stains, spray such as "CebralĂn" or talc.
2) For coffee and wine stains, specific products for tannins.

Cheaper solutions:
Have two pots:
1) For protein and oily stains: 50 ml ammonia, 25 ml liquid neutral soap, rest (up to half a liter) water.
2) For tannin stains (coffee and red wine): 50 ml white vinegar, 25 ml liquid neutral soap, rest (up to half a liter) water. For red wine stains, when these are recent, it’s also useful to treat them with a humid cloth with white wine (stain loses intensity).
3) If you put some salt to stains, these will not disappear but at least it will avoid them of penetrating so much in the weave.
