The Rust and the Lemon

When all else fails, try treating a stubborn ink or rust stain with a little lemon juice and salt, then leaving it in the sun. However, care should be taken in using this treatment on delicate textiles or coloured clothing.
To make rust stains on clothing vanish, place half a lemon under the stain, a clean white cloth above, and pass the heated iron lightly over the cloth. The stain should transfer to the white cloth.
In order to remove rust from white clothing, moisten the stain with a few drops of vinegar. Then, apply a little lemon juice and leave it for some minutes. Afterward, pour boiling water over the affected area and rinse well.
