When Milk removes Stains

o
Milk contains more than 100 nutrients that are found whether in solution, suspension or emulsion in water. Among them there are 3% of fats, as well as vitamins and minerals. Usually, the stains also contain a bit of grease.

Oil from milk softens and removes the grease stains. This action is reinforced by the minerals: these, as you rub the stain with milk, helps to take away the grease which is already softened by the oil from milk.

In the case of clothes with colours that run, minerals from milk act by removing the mineral components of the colour pigments that have not yet been fixed permanently to the fabric.
