It is better to dry clean clothes made from SILK. However, if there are stains that have to be removed, it is better to hand wash them. If this is to be done, then follow the procedure seen below.

Silk, Linen
Do not extend, spread nor hang clothes made of natural silk or linen. After washing, it would be best that these types of material be wrapped in a towel and ironed when they are still a bit wet.
